They Have a Lot in Common

WALL-E and R2D2 should hang out.

We've all done it

I just sneezed and fired an not-insignificant-sized glob of snot onto my arm. I'm honestly surprised that much mucus was hiding in my nasal passages.

I'm not even annoyed I had to wash my entire forearm in the sink. I'm actually kinda impressed.

'Running Man'

So I just re-watched "The Running Man" with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Fun action flick from the late 80's. It's got two fights in the first 5 minutes, so you know it's good. Not to mention his one-liners. (Saying a Bad Guy "Had to split" after cutting him in half? Priceless.)

Why hasn't Hollywood remade this gem? I'd actually like to see that., truth be told. It has a lot of themes that register with today's audience: reality shows, government 'control', spandex.

Who's with me? Who would like to see a "Running Man" remake?

Maybe I should lay off the Modern Warfare 2 before bed

Just fyi, playing Call of Duty, then going to bed and reading Harry Potter will give you some messed up dreams.

Geek Discussion Question

Sauron's One Ring of Power was a Horcrux.

Discuss.

(And if you don't know what I'm talking about, you should be ashamed of yourself.)

I am a snot monster

My allergies are hell-bent determined to end me. I had drowning dreams last night.

Have I lost my filter?

I've noticed over the past month or so that I have been chastised more than normal for saying something "inappropriate" in a conversation.

The thing is, it was still really funny and clever, and I didn't feel bad about any quip I uttered. Maybe I'm becoming more blase' in my old age.

Hammer time

For the third morning in a row I have been woken up by the sound of hammering. I can't tell what apartment it's coming from, but it sounds like they are bludgeoning their way into my bedroom from all sides. (It causes some whacked-out dreams, lemme tell you.)

The weird thing is that it stops around 9am. Could they not change their schedule around a bit to do whatever non-waking thing they do at 9am first, and save the hammering for after lunch? Does Bob Vila recommend the early hours as prime hammerin' time?

If it continues tomorrow, when the lawn care people usually mow (again, around 7:30/8:00am), it will be the perfect storm.

It always happens when no one is there

I just elbowed my Mt. Dew off of my desk, and caught it before it spilled or hit the ground. A true example of my ninja abilities, and not even the cats were around to witness it.
